Workshop - Thursday 3rd April 2025

WS1: "Making Better Decisions in Construction Projects with CBA"

Construction projects involve countless decisions—getting them right is crucial for success. But how can teams ensure transparent, well-founded choices that align with project goals?

Choosing by Advantages (CBA) offers a clear, logical framework for making better decisions—efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with lean thinking. Teams that systematically apply CBA experience fewer negative design iterations, reducing time and costs for the owner while minimizing frustration. By focusing on what truly matters, they gain a shared understanding of project decisions and uncover innovative design and construction solutions.

Workshop Overview

This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of CBA.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the importance of structured decision-making methods.
  2. Learn the basics of Choosing by Advantages (CBA).
  3. Recognize key differences between CBA and other decision-making approaches.
